Komolyabb logikai fejtörők, amelyek a legjobb matematikai vénával rendelkező diákokat is kihívás elé állítják.

A verseny ötlete Ausztráliából indult a 80-as években, de igazi európai sikertörténetévé Franciaország tette 1991-ben. A "Kangaroo" név az ausztrál alapítók előtt tiszteleg. Magyarország már a kezdetektől aktív résztvevője a mozgalomnak, amelyet itthon a Matematikai Tehetségekért Alapítvány (MaTeTe) koordinál.
