However, in a brilliantly comedic twist, King places the "crown" on his head, only for it to be revealed as a cheap, plastic toy from a kid's meal. Devastated, King learns that his reign as a "King of Demons" was a childhood fantasy and that he’s actually just a normal little creature who stumbled into Eda’s life. But Eda, showing her softer side, chooses a cracked bell from her junk pile and tells King it’s the much more powerful "Bell of Destruction," a loving lie to make her friend feel better. After their adventure, Eda offers to return Luz home, but Luz declines. She has found a place where she fits in, and seeing an opportunity, asks Eda to teach her to be a witch. Moved by Luz's determination, Eda agrees, and the two of them look out at the strange and beautiful Boiling Isles, officially marking the beginning of their journey together.
